What HEAL Is and Why It Exists

HEAL-LLC is an organization founded to help individuals heal from and work through life-altering situations. We do what our company name stands for – HEAL.

There is no magic timeframe one must adhere to in order to move past a life-altering situation. Dealing with life challenges are often difficult, with no quick remedy. It often takes dedication and a great deal of work in order to transition into healing.

Not addressing these matters can promote an emotionally stagnant state, leading to unhealthy manifestations in one's life.

About Our Owner

The founder, Chevelle Moss-Savage, (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor in CT and VA. She has more than 20 years of experience working in mental health as a therapist, group facilitator, trainer/instructor, and case manager. Her qualifications are as follows:

  • Holds a Master's Degree in Human Services Clinical Counseling From Lincoln University
  • Certified in Bereavement and Grief Counseling
  • Human Services Board-Certified Practitioner
  • Board Certified-Telemental Health Provider
  • Seasoned Group Facilitator

Chevelle’s plethora of experience has been acquired both in higher education and the private sector. Although she is a trained Mental Health Therapist, she is also versed in promoting diversity and multi-cultural awareness through intersectionality trainings with hopes of eradicating stigmas related to mental health, disabilities, spiritual beliefs, or LGBTQ+ identities.

Chevelle identifies as a black cisgender femme who lives in New London, CT with her spouse, and they enjoy traveling and spending time with family.

Our Beginnings

The original organization was formed in 2009 after the death of Chevelle’s mother. It was then that Chevelle realized that grief/loss aftercare was lacking in her community.

During the subsequent years, she realized the focus should not primarily be on loss. In 2015, HEAL-LLC was reborn and we now assist people who are navigating a variety of transitions that may occur during one's life.
